Timothy Parent

Timothy Parent is a sustainable fashion SME and an advocate for environmental justice. He studied East Asian Studies at Harvard College and began his work in diversifying the fashion industry by promoting Asian and other marginalized voices within the global fashion industry. Timothy moved to China after graduating in 2009, conducting field research from his thesis and continuing his work in diversity and inclusion, but eventually shifted his focus to the intersection of environmentalism and material culture after realizing the need for conscientious consumerism. He is the Founder-Trustee and President of Harvard Alumni for Fashion, Luxury, and Retail, as well as serving on the Environmental Justice Committee for Harvard Alumni for Climate and the Environment.
