Smriti Iyer

Smriti Iyer is from New Delhi, India and is interested in how environment and climate intersects with livelihoods and economic development. She is interested in leveraging the collective power of the HACE network to recognise and address the environment and climate crisis at a systems level. She is an economist with over 9.5  years of work experience primarily in South Asia, Africa and the United States.She has worked in the areas of scaling up enterprises across different sectors such as vocational training, education, agro-processing and energy.

Smriti currently lives in Goa and works as an Independent Consultant. She currently advises the Goa Government on how to create incentives for industry to be more environmentally sustainable and works with rural development departments across 3 states on how to make the operations of agro-processing units more environmentally friendly. 

Smriti holds an Masters in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School and an MSc in Economics with a specialisation in Environmental Economics from TERI School of Advanced Studies.
