Santiago Creuheras
An expert on sustainable development, infrastructure, and energy, Santiago Creuheras is a John F. Kennedy Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School.
Recently, he served as Deputy Minister for the Environment and Sustainable Energy of Mexico and as senior advisor to the Mexican Chamber of Deputies on sustainability and the environment.
He has also held several senior consultant positions at the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the International Energy Agency, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation.
Globally, Creuheras chaired the International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation and co-led the Energy Efficiency and Energy Transitions Finance Working Group of the G20.
In academia, he has taught at many universities including the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
Santiago is an active participant in alumni activities around the world. He serves as a Graduate School Director 2023-2026 of the Harvard Alumni Association. He completed his term as an Elected Director of the Harvard Alumni Association last June.
Creuheras is also a former president and current board member of the Harvard Club of Mexico, an alumni interviewer for Harvard College and member of the Harvard Club of San Diego and the Harvard Club of New York. He has also served in various roles for Harvard’s Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, Harvard’s David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies, Harvard Business School’s Energy and Environment Club, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Kennedy School, the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and Harvard Extension School.
Santiago has obtained undergraduate and graduate degrees, certificates and credentials from Harvard University, University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, and the University of the Americas in Mexico.
